Day of Treatment

Please  avoid tanning for the two weeks prior to treatment.

If you are taking Tetracycline, you can stop it at least  1 day prior .

Stop ASA  the day before

Also,  please do not use any heavy makeup or  creams that day

Our nurses will apply an ultrasound gel to your face 

Your eyes are protected by shields which are taped to your lids for extra protection

The light pulses from the IPL machine do sting but are manageable. If  they are too uncomfortable, please let our nurses know. 

We individualize each treatment to you depending on your skin type and eye problems

The treatment itself will last about 5 minutes .

A numbing gel will be applied to your lids and our doctors will then perform a massaging technique to the glands on the lid margin.

Once this is done, you will be given anti inflammatory drops to use for 3 days

You can also use  your tear drops as required. 

You will be able to drive and resume all your normal activities afterwards.
