When Restasis is started , you will need to continue using the artificial tears.  Additionally, an anti inflammatory drop is also used for the first month. 

It takes a while for Restasis to work and it is important to persevere with the medications for 2-3 months to begin to feel the benefits . It should make your eyes more comfortable.
