Post IPL Treatment Instructions

It is common to  feel some discomfort in the lids and cheek after treatment.  It may feel like a mild sunburn.

Please use sunscreen (SPF 30 or more) when outside and avoid tanning for at least 2 weeks.

You will receive a bottle of anti inflammatory drops to use for 3 days with instructions.

You can continue to use your tear drops as needed. In the first few days after treatment, your eyes may feel a bit more irritated but this should settle down and become more comfortable. Most of our patients find a significant improvement after 1 week .

The treatment effect is cumulative  and the duration of improvement is longer .  A total of 4 treatments spaced about a month apart is our usual recommendation.  After that , you may require some maintenance treatment spaced 6-8 months apart on a regular basis.

If you are on Tetracycline  for Rosacea, you will need to stop it prior to your treatment as it will make the skin more sun sensitive.

If you have any questions or concerns , please call our office at 519-256-9333.
